This is a public auction, and the objects are delivered by different owners.

The property rights of the purchased objects do not pass over to the buyer before the invoice is fully paid, hammer price plus 20% buyer premium. All coins and banknotes that are or have been legal tenders are exempted from VAT in Norway. On all other times like medals and token, 25% VAT is added to the byer’s premium. Please note that the auctioneer is not responsible for additional import VAT issued by authorities in other countries.

The auctioneer may refuse to accept bids from a person unknown or without proper references. Foreign customers should register several days prior to the auction date in order to be accepted as bidders.

Invoices will be sent out afterwards, with a 7-day payment deadline. Domestic shipments with value until NOK 2.000 are sent by mail. Value above NOK 2.000 are sent with registered mail with tracking number. All international shipments will be sent with registered mail with tracking number, with minimum price of NOK 450 (DHL or FedEx). Meyer Eek is not responsible for shipments that are lost due to wrong or insufficient address information provided by the buyer. Meyer Eek AS have a transport insurance that insures the shipment of objects up to NOK 150.000, - Successful bidders may also pick up their won lots at our office in Oslo.

The objects are sold in the condition in which they are exclamated and can be inspected before the auction. Meyer Eek has tried to the best of ability to describe and grade the objects in the best possible way but reserves the right to write errors or other omissions. Buyers have the right to complain, but it must be completed no later than 10 days after receiving the invoice as we want to pay sellers as quickly as possible.

All Norwegian coins minted before 1538, with some exceptions, cannot be exported out of the country.

REGISTRATION is a prerequisite for participating in the bidding. Please ensure registration and bid signs before the auction starts. You need a profile that has been approved on www.auksjon.meyereek.no before you can register any bids.

PRE-BIDS can be delivered on viewing, agreed by phone, or sent by e-mail. We recommend telephone bids if you cannot attend the auction. Online bids can be registered until the object in question is presented to the auctioneer.
