Colima Shaman. An excellent Colima figure from West Mexico, ca. 300 BC - 300 AD. This beautifully detailed Teco type figurine is 8â high and depicts a shaman. He is posed standing and is wearing a fancy headdress studded with the horned head emblem signifying his elite status. Incising and texturing is used to indicate clothing and he is adorned with a necklace and perforated ear ornaments. Intact, with paint remnants and good mineral deposits. Ex Llerenas collection.
