Painted Daunian Incense Burner. A painted Daunian Thymiaterion or Incense Burner, Italic, c. 5th - 4th Century BC, the tall pedestal base with wide flanges and decorated with alternating bands of red, dark brown and white slip, the shallow bowl with concentric grooves around the rim and attached adornos around the outside, also decorated with red, dark brown and white slip. H: 6 ¼â (15.8 cm). A nice example of this scarcer pottery form with scatter deposits. Ex Orange County private collection.
