CRETE, Itanos. Circa 350-320 BC. AR Hemidrachm (15mm, 2.62 g, 2h). Helmeted head of Athena left / Eagle standing left, head right, within incuse square. Svoronos, Numismatique 27; cf. SNG Copenhagen 473 (drachm); Boutin –; cf. Evans 1632 (drachm); cf. Traeger 142 (drachm). Near VF, find patina. Very rare denomination for issue without additional symbols on reverse.
