CRETE, Knossos. Circa 40-30 BC. Æ (27mm, 14.19 g, 1h). Tauriadas, magistrate. Laureate head of Zeus right; A below, thunderbolt to right / Eagle standing right, wings spread; magistrate's name across field, A between legs. RPC 932; cf. Svoronos, Numismatique 161–2; SNG Copenhagen –; Traeger –. Fine, rough dark brown patina with hue of pale green. Rare.
