Sussex 17b (Scarce). Chichester. 1795. Æ halfpenny. 10.6 gm. 28 mm. Front facing bust of Elizabeth I; QUEEN ELIZABETH / Britannia seated left; RULE BRITANNIA around; 1795 below. Edge: WE PROMISE TO PAY THE BEARER ONE CENT. Good Extremely Fine; lightly toned over original surfaces; early die break. This "ONE CENT" edge was designed for American coinage but the flan was inadvertently used on this.
