Ex J.S. Wagner Collection (Classical Numismatic E-Auction 248, 26 January 2011), lot 310 (where it realized $502).
The smoothing and application of the serrated edge was not done to prohibit the removal of metal (as in the case of serrated denari), but was more likely purely decorative for an item that was no longer currency, but an amulet or special gift.
