EGYPT, Alexandria. Antoninus Pius. AD 138-161. BI Tetradrachm (22mm, 12.59 g, 12h). Dated RY 14 (AD 150/151). Laureate bust right, slight drapery / Bust of Nilus right, with slight drapery; before, cornucopia with Iς (for 16 cubits) above; I/L ∆ (date) across field. Köln 1648 var. (bust type); Dattari (Savio) 2286 var. (same); K&G 35.496 var. (same); Emmett 1412.14. Good VF, toned, some light porosity. Scarce obverse bust variety.

From a Hungarian Collection formed primarily in the 1930's.

The Greek numerals "Iς" above the cornucopia indicate 16 cubits, the optimal flood level height of the Nile during inundation season.
