BOEOTIA, Federal Coinage. Circa 220s BC. Æ (17mm, 4.20 g, 8h). Head of Demeter or Kore (Persephone) three-quarter face right, wearing corn-wreath / Poseidon, naked, standing left, resting right foot on rock and leaning on trident; to right, ΒΟΙΩΤ[ΩΝ] downward. BCD Boiotia 109 (this coin); HGC 4, 1182. Fine, patina removed, now toning. Overstruck on Æ of Antigonos Gonatas of the type SNG Cop. 1214-1221; the overstrikes are also reversed on this coin, and the undertypes are particularly clear, even more so than the overtypes.
