Very fine and extremely rare.
The Philippines were first colonised by Spain in 1521 and named to honour King Philip II. The first coin actually struck in the Philippines was the BARILLA dated 1728 which showed the arms of Manila. The Islands were ceded by Spain to the United States in 1898 and became a Republic in 1946.
