COINS, 錢幣, CHINA - PROVINCIAL ISSUES, 中國 - 地方發行, Kweichow Province 貴¦{省: Chien Pao Silver Coin 黔寶, Kuang Hsu Year 14 (1888), Obv central beaded circle filled with parallel horizontal lines crossed by parallel slanting lines, surrounded by a wreath of flowers and leaves within a linear and then a beaded circle, "光緒十四年貴¦{官爐造", Rev "黔寶" within a linear and then a beaded circle, a wreath of flowers and leaves in outer circle, beaded circle near rim on both sides, 25.16g (L&M 604, this coin illustrated; H Chang CH126; not listed by Kann). Several rim nicks, several small planchet defects on the obverse, scratches at centre and filed rim at 1 o'clock on the reverse, otherwise crude very fine, exceedingly rare, eluding even Kann.
