KOREA. Purse Shaped Chatelaine & Charms, ca. 19th Century.
97.54 x 104.82 Mandel-101.5; KCBC-Y-5; KCY-I-17; Op & Hart-1002. Two high relief figures flanking the longevity symbol, all within a border of five bats; Reverse: Dragon coiled around a lucky cloud with two other clouds flanking and ten birds around. Attached by the original brass rings are twelve various charms of different shapes, sizes and themes. Also attached is the original brass hanger bar at the top. Both the charms and the central portion still have original red and green pigment making for an attractive specimen. VERY FINE.
