CHINA. Zhang Renjun Silver Merit Medal, ND (ca. 1907-09). PCGS Genuine--Mount Removed, AU Details.
39.04 mm. Li-pgs. 22-23 (for similar types). Single large character in center with legend around; Reverse: Five character inscription with patterned border around. VERY RARE. Awarded by Zhang Renjun during his tenure (August 12, 1907 to June 28, 1909) as Viceroy of Liangguang (Kwangtung and Kwangsi Provinces). Some minor tooling can be observed on the obverse, and as the grade alludes it was mounted in a bezel for wear at some point. Nice old dark toning and quite attractive.
