CHINA. Pattern Dollar, ND (1910). Tientsin Mint. PCGS MS-64 Secure Holder.
L&M-24; K-219; Hsu-52; WS-0036; Wenchao-98 (rarity two stars). Struck in silver. Denominated "$1". A beautiful example of this RARE shortly lived proposed design. Full satin luster with delicate rose toning makes for a very appealing example in the hand. Only a few wispy marks in the center of the reverse inscription to indicate any kind of handling. All the more impressive when one considers the sheer amount of open fields there are on this shallow low-relief design. Tied with six others in this mint state grade, three PCGS and three NGC. Also numerically tied with two more at PCGS which have proof and specimen grades respectively, ten examples finer in mint state. PCGS MS-64 Secure Holder.
