CHINA. Anhwei. 7 Mace 2 Candareens (Dollar), CD (1898). NGC MS-63.
L&M-207; K-61; Y-45.4; WS-1085. RARE cyclically dated mint state Dollar. A scarce issue in its own right, but made all the more so being fully lustrous and without evidence of extensive handling or circulation. Of a slightly later die state than most others evidenced by three hairline die cracks radiating from the dragon to the rim. Very attractive with full cartwheel luster and a hint of rose colored toning at periphery. Tied with one other example as the finest certified, and one of only three pieces to be graded in mint state condition. NGC MS-63.
