L&M-474; K-245; Y-86; WS-0585. Narrow mouth dragon. A beautiful mint state example. Nicely struck with good definition and detail, complimented by strong gem luster contrasting with russet and cobalt hued toning at the rim. A very attractive and desirable gem of a coin which is almost always seen with considerable wear. This piece used as a plate example in "Top Chinese Coins" by Chou, Guth and Smith. This is the finest certified example, being graded one point higher than the only other example graded mint state. NGC MS-64.
