CHINA. Pattern 50 Cents (1/2 Dollar), Year 3 (1911). Tientsin Mint. NGC MS-60.
L&M-39; K-228; Y-30; WS-0047; Wenchao-pg. 138#121 (rarity three stars). Silver. Like many of the 1911 issues, this pattern of proposed design was never adopted for mass production. This was due to the outbreak of the 1911 revolution, which gave way to the birth of the republic and ending of two thousand years of imperial rule in China. Sharply struck with attractive grey toning. NGC MS-60.
