CHINA. Sinkiang. Collection of Copper Cash, ca. 1906-33.
181 pieces in lot. A large academic collection of mostly milled copper coinage, including issues from the Empire and Republic eras of many types and varieties. Included is a scarce 1906 1 Fen 5 Li (Y-1), a cast 1912 10 Cash (Y-372.10), a scarce CD (1928) 10 Cash (Y-B38.1), a CD (1929) 20 Cash (Y-A41.1) and an AH 1352 (1933) 20 Cash from the Islamic Republic of Eastern Turkestan. All but one piece with the collector's attribution cards and notes. Verdigris and environmental damage can be observed on several pieces as is normally seen with copper coinage from this region. Nevertheless, there are many examples in better than average condition with solid bold strikes and little wear or corrosion. Full of varieties and scarce types to please any collector of this region. Retail value in excess of $3,500. Should be examined. SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS. GOOD-EXTREMELY FINE.

Estimate: $1500.00- $2000.00
