Head of Athena right, wearing crested Attic helmet ornamented with three laurel leaves and vine scroll / Owl standing right, head facing; olive spring and crescent behind; AΘE to right; all within incuse square. Kroll 8. SNG Copenhagen 31. A pleasing example of the classic "Athenian owl." Deeply struck on a broad flan, with a pleasing archaic smile and considerable luster in reverse fields. NGC Choice AU 5/5 - 4/5.
