Leopold I gold 25 Francs 1848 AU58 NGC, Brussels mint, KM13.1. Nearly mint-state, this piece exhibits some minor hairlines, as well as a few interesting obverse die-breaks. The devices are quite strong, with wear mostly contained to the highpoints, and the surfaces gleam with aged, golden patina. A fleeting two-year series, part of its original mintage was melted down, which further adds to the scarcity of this issue.
