Charles II "Royal" cob 8 Reales 1682 P-V VF30 NGC, Potosi mint, KM-R26, Lazaro-207. A handsome coin for the designation with clear details and struck on an impressively large planchet with only minimal doubling. This particular coin was countermarked in Central America ca. 1839 with the Guatemala type I countermark, which proves its circulation more than 150 years after it was minted. A most impressive example of the iconic "Royal" presentation style, very scarce and much in demand and rare in this unholed and unflawed preservation.
Estimate: 4000-5000 USD
