A lustrous coin, with only scant friction evidence preventing the Mint State technical designation and substantial subdued mint luster. As sometimes seen, the obverse surface is slightly porous, the result of a striking from a rusty die. A popular large gold issue, very scarce and much in demand in this engaging preservation.
