George V 5 Cents 1921 VF25 PCGS, Ottawa mint, KM22a. The transitional year between the small-sized silver type and the larger nickel issue, this scarce offering presents lightly toned surfaces with darker patina that clutches the devices. Commensurate with the assigned grade, this selection exhibits micro-surface abrasions beneath the patina, and as is usual, the bust has been softly-struck. A wonderful example of this rarity, that despite having a reported mintage that nears the 2.5 million mark, is more often believed to exist in numbers less than 500.
