Charles X gilt-bronze Uniface 100 Francs ND (1824-30) MS64 NGC, Maz-Unl. By Nicolas Tiolier. A most interesting uniface trial strike proposed for the gold 100 Francs that features the portrait of the new King. The obverse surface are awash in gilt and present the large, impeccably-styled head of Charles X with his title as king surrounding. The reverse is blank and simply bronze with attractive reddish-brown color. An absolutely exciting selection reportedly from the Barre family holdings, rare as such and quite possibly unique.
