Struck to commemorate the Duke's birthday and his Pious Foundations featuring the draped bust of Wilhelm and a stunning city-view of Wilhelmsburg with the sun shining down from the upper right, a four-line inscription, and the date in Roman numerals. An impressively-sized selection with shimmering patina and delicate pastel luster that envelopes the surfaces in glorious color. Typical for the type, adjustment marks run through the portrait of the Duke, but fortunately miss the features of his face and blend well into the surrounding tone.
