Henry VI (First Reign: 1422-61) gold Noble 1422-c.1430 AU Details (Removed From Jewelry) NGC, London mint, Annulet Issue, S-1799, North-1414. Beginning now to retone after a past cleaning, a lack of obvious tooling or rim marks leads one to suspect the determination of jewelry use was made based upon the brightened appearance of the fields, particularly on the reverse where light polishing is evident. Surfaces aside, however, the strike is superb and the planchet only marginally undersized for the module impressed upon it.
