George III Proof Shilling 1787 PR63 NGC, Royal mint, KM607.1, S-3746, ESC-1226. Plain Edge - Hearts in Shield. Deep blue and purple tone masks the surfaces with soft underlying reflectivity and a sharp strike as one would expect from a carefully produced striking. Amazingly, the second example of this proof, that lists as "Extremely Rare" in the Standard Catalog of British Coins, that we have sold this year, and struck from the same dies as that specimen.
