Victoria Proof Gothic Florin 1867 PR63 PCGS, Royal mint, KM746.2, S-3893, ESC-831. "W.W." Below Bust - No Die Number - Coin Rotation - Reeded Edge. A very rare transitional proof rarity that display "BRITT" in the obverse legends instead of the previous "BRIT" style. While not designated as a cameo coin by PCGS, this piece certainly has merit, with Victoria's portrait showing bold contrast against the tone-free centers. Vibrant multicolored tone at the outer legends only serves to further enhance the character of this already fantastic coin. We have only been able to locate a single other example of this type in archived records, and that coin, sold by CNG in January of 2011, pails in comparison to the present specimen. A great opportunity thus!
