Franz Joseph I gold 100 Korona 1907-KB MS65 NGC, Kremnitz mint, KM490, Fr-256. Truly rare in this condition, with only two certified at the MS65 level by NGC with none graded finer. More important than the grade however is the true premium nature of this coin. As the result of the matte-textured centers that comprise this commemorative design, examples of this type are especially prone to highlighting nearly all forms of handling. The present piece however is nearly entirely absent of such evidence, and must compare favorably in that regard to the finest examples extant. As such, a coin that is certain to attract considerable demand given its overwhelming popularity as a classic piece of 20th century gold type.
