Genoa. Republic Scudo 1670-ISS MS62 NGC, KM-79, Dav-LS555. A broad and beautiful selection featuring the ever-popular image of the Madonna and child, floating on a cloud with stars above and a reverse motif displaying a centered cross with stars in angles. Incredibly well-struck on a somewhat irregularly-shaped flan with attractive, steel-gray tone that is awash in lustrous, peach iridescence. Scarcely encountered at any level, but especially in this select mint-state classification, highly engaging as such.
