A massive offering featuring the beautiful obverse design of Madonna and child floating on a cloud with two cherubs above and a reverse illustration of a centered ornate cross with cherub heads and wings in angles. Well-struck on a somewhat irregularly-shaped flan with classic steel-gray patination and wear consistent with the grade. A seldom encountered type, choice in this level of preservation.
