Tuscany. Cosimo II Piastre 1611 XF - Cleaned, Florence mint, Dav-4192, MIR-261/1 (R2). A broad and scarce type featuring the bust of Cosimo II and the standing figure of St. John. Despite being a silver issue, the color of this example is closer to a coppery-brown, with altered surfaces that exhibit cleaning and tooling within the fields. MIR lists this type as R2, and as such this is still a commendable offering.
