Vittorio Emanuele III gold 100 Lire 1912-R MS63 PCGS, Rome mint, KM50, Fr-26. A noteworthy example with warm, harvest-gold tone and a tremendous amount of vibrant luster. Featuring the classic bust of Vittorio Emanuele III and a pictorial reverse design, the 1912 is arguably the only collectible date from this fleeting series, and even so, with a tiny mintage of just 4,946 pieces, one that is typically missing from most collections. The overall appearance of this selection is choice, with fewer than usual contact marks which are common to the type and just a bit of rub upon the King's cheek. A well-preserved example of this highly sought-after type, worthy of much interest.
