Ferdinand VII gold 4 Escudos 1811 Mo-HJ VF35 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM145. A wholesome, essentially unflawed example of this very scarce imaginary bust issue, flatly struck near the crown on the reverse, as usually seen. The latter characteristic -clearly a result of a defective minting press - was also present in both the Eliasberg (ANR 4/2005, lot 3223) and Caballero de las Yndias specimen (Aureo 4/2009, lot 436). A decent type coin, eminently collectible in this preservation.
Estimate: 900-1200 USD
