Zeeland. Provincial gold Imitative Double Ducat ND VF35 ANACS, Uncertain mint, Fr-301 var, Delm-879 var. A very unusual imitation, the obverse legends here are completely different than those of the standard imitation, although in most other respects this example matches the catalog types closely. Our research yielded only one comparable example of this type in a UBS sale in 2001 (Auction 51, Lot 1009) which hammered for approximately $800, although this example still exhibits differences in the legends from that piece.
