Rama V Baht RS127 (1908) AU Details (Excessive Surface Hairlines) NGC, Paris mint, KM-Y39. A one-year type, which also happens to be a rarity, featuring the stately portrait of Rama V and the illustrative reverse motif of three elephant heads. Despite the details assignment, this piece exhibits handsome, silvery-gray color with darker patina that clings to the devices, and minimal wear throughout. Hairlining, while noticeable, does blend nicely into the surrounding tone. A difficult coin to acquire at all levels, usually encountered with hairlines or heavy marks, and rarely available in finer designations.
