Vitellius (AD 69). AR denarius (2.43 gm) Rome, June-December AD 69. Laureate head of Vitellius right / Vesta, veiled, seated right, holding patera and scepter. RIC 107. RSC 72. Heavy wear and numerous scratches. NGC notes "perhaps a plated, ancient forgery" perhaps due to light weight but there are no signs of surface breakage or exposed core. NGC VG 5/5 - 3/5.
