Copper, partially lustrous Mint State, a few spots of darker patination. Struck to honor the Viscount of Condeixa. - Meili-203. Copper, Mint State with significant subdued luster. Struck to honor Jose Manoel da Costa Bastos.- Meili-203. Copper, Mint State, cleaned. Struck to honor the Viscount of Barpendy.The 1855-1856 epidemic of Cholera Morbus was carried from Portugal ports to Brazil and struck thirteen provinces of that empire, killing over 200,00 people. It is considered Brazil's greatest demographic disaster yet also helped sealing the fate of the transatlantic slave trade to Brazil. This well preserved trio of these historical and very scarce pieces would be most challenging to duplicate.
