Republic Commemorative Medals Pair 1889 (1891), Lot of two medals, as follows:- VC-125. Silver, lustrous Mint State or thereabouts. - VC-125. Copper. Similar to last, but struck in copper.Manufactured by the Agry house in Paris in 1891 on account of the Franco-Brazilian commission formed in March 1888 in preparation for the International Exposition held in Paris in 1889. The silver piece very scarce, the copper piece scarce, both well preserved and most attractive.
