George III Counterstamped Dollar ND (ca.1797) XF45 NGC, KM634. Small oval counterstamp featuring George III upon a Mexico 8 Reales 1796. Counterstamp is quite sharp. A late 18th century shortage of silver in Britain necessitated such counterstamps.
