George III Counterstamped Dollar ND (ca.1797) XF45 NGC, KM637, Small oval counterstamp of George III upon Peru 8 Reales 1790. Host coin is well struck, counterstamp is sharp. Such coins were produced as a result of a silver shortage in Great Britain at the time.
