KINGS of CHARACENE. Attambelos I. 47/46-25/24 BC. BI Tetradrachm (27mm, 13.81 g, 12h). Hill Series C. Charax-Spasinu mint. Dated SE 273 or 275 (40/39 or 38/7 BC). Diademed head right / Herakles seated left, holding club; monogram above arm; [...]OΣ (date) in exergue. Cf. Hill, Attambelos 16-22; Alram –; cf. BMC 4; DCA 485. VF. Though the final letter of the date is uncertain, the top crossbar and lack of a rightside upright means that the only solutions could be Γ or E (SE 273 and 275, respectively).
