SYRIA, Decapolis. Capitolias. Elagabalus. AD 218-222. Æ (24mm, 8.99 g, 6h). Laureate and cuirassed bust right / Zeus seated left, extending hand and holding scepter, within octastyle temple with broad architrave supporting pediment surmounted by statuary group between two crenellated towers. Cf. Meshorer, City Coins 233; cf. Rosenberger 16; cf. Sofaer 13; cf. SNG ANS 1276. Fair, dark green patina, some roughness. The lack of detail within the legends prevents more certain attribution.
