Republic 8 Reales 1851/41 Ca-RG AU53 PCGS, Chihuahua mint, KM377.2, DP-Ca22. The 1851 5/4 variety (as all are for this issue) indicated as 1851/41 for convenience sake as mentioned in the description of the previous lot. A well preserved coin with considerable subdued mint bloom and faint actual wear yet struck on a dirty planchet as frequently seen for coins of this period and mint. A quite uncommon preservation for this scarce date - DP considers the date as "very scarce and underrated" with high grade examples "rare" - and eminently collectible as such.
