Large, carved jet (black wood) "higa" (good luck talisman), Spanish colonial (1500s). 12.82 grams, roughly 1-1/2" x 1" x 3/4". Largest specimen we have ever seen but with tip of thumb broken off, also broken at wrist and with flaking on top of hand but the palm and all fingers clear. Found in a Spanish colonial area of the southern Caribbean.
