Potosi, Bolivia, cob 8 reales, 1715Y, very rare as from the Fleet. S-P43a; KM-31; CT-875. 25.20 grams. Full but off-center cross, most of pillars with clear date, typically crudely struck (weak) and with edge-splits but not much corrosion, nicely toned, very important as the date of sinking from a far-removed mint. From the "Corrigans" site, with photo-certificate #WB479. Recovered from: Spanish 1715 Fleet, east coast of Florida
Estimate: $1000 - 1500
