Obv: Empty throne on which rest the Gospels, a cross bearing the crown of thorns; to left, a lance; to right, a sponge on a reed; below, a footstool.
Rev: Michael standing to left and a military saint standing to right, holding between them a star-tipped staff; the emperor holds a sceptre in his right hand and saint holds sword in left hand.
