Philippopolis, Thrace. Elagabalus, 218-222. Assarion (Bronze, 20mm, 3.91g 12). ΑΥΤ Κ Μ ΑΥΡ ΑΝΤΩΝΕΙΝΟC Laureate head of Elagabalus to right. Rev. ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟΠΟΛΕΙΤΩΝ ΝΕΩΚΟ / ΡΩ - Ν Tyche standing left, wearing polos and holding a phiale in her right hand and a cornucopiae with her left. Varbanov 1784 var. (reverse legend differently arranged). An attractive little coin with a deep green patina. Some surface roughness, otherwise, about extremely fine.
