Philip II, 359-336 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 24mm, 14.49g 12), Pella, 342/1-337/6. Laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟΥ Nude jockey on horse prancing to right, holding long palm branch in his right hand; below horse, horizontal thunderbolt. Le Rider 195 (D114/R157). Attractively toned and of splendid style. Extremely fine.
