Vādfradād (Autophradates) II, governor (?), c. mid 3rd century BC. Drachm (Silver, 16mm, 4.11g 2), Persepolis. Diademed and bearded head of Vādfradād II to right, wearing kyrbasia toped by eagle. Rev. Fire Temple with half-length figure of Ahura-Mazda above; to left, Vādfradād standing right in attitude of prayer; to right, standard topped by an eagle. Alram 552. Sunrise 576 var. Bright, well-centered and sharply struck in high relief. Extremely fine.
